  • Frame Your Photographs

    Frame Your Photographs

Need help and advice about how best to frame a photograph you are thinking of buying?

Get started by reading my Guide To Mounting & Framing Photographs here.

Please contact me by email here and let's book a call to discuss your requirements. I will help by making sure that it not only looks fabulous and works in the space you have in mind today, but also ensure it is built to the highest museum quality standards and will last the test of time.

Please send me a link to the photograph you are interested in buying and a photo of the space you have in mind, so I can call you to advise on the most suitable size and style of framing to suit your home. You can email me here and I will reply by sending you a digital mockup of the suggested framing in a room setting, and detailed photographs showing the style and size of the suggested mounting, frame moulding and museum glass specification. I can also send you mount board and frame moulding samples to review in the post. If you would like a chat and some advice before we start please email me here to book a call.

"Luke framed three black & white prints for me and I am so glad I took his advice, his expertise and customer service are first class and they look absolutely stunning, far better than if I'd had to make the mounting and frame moulding selections myself."  James Wells

"Luke Whitaker helped curate my photographs and designed the layout of my work for a group show at the Royal Geographical Society in Kensington, London in 2019. Luke advised on all aspects and requirements to ensure it was a profitable show, and his input was invaluable in helping me sell 10 framed limited-edition prints. He edited my artist statement and biography, his team handled the digital post-production, printing and framing of my photographs, he guided me on key decisions such as print size, limited edition size and pricing strategy, as well as creating the marketing materials I needed during the show. I highly recommend Luke to other photographers. We are currently working together on my next London exhibition for September 2024."  Peter Geraerts

  • About Luke Whitaker

Luke Whitaker (b.1978) was born in London and educated at King's College School in Wimbledon and Cambridge University where he graduated with a degree in Economics in 2000. He spent the first part of his career working in the City, on the US equities desk at Goldman Sachs and he then worked for Accenture at the London Stock Exchange. A change of career followed and in 2012 Luke set up Bosham Gallery, specialising in the marketing and sales of limited edition photographs, and a business course programme for photographers themselves. Between 2012-2022 Luke ran a year-round exhibition from the physical gallery space on the waterfront at No.1 High Street in Bosham, West Sussex.

In 2018, Luke set up an archive of historically important original prints of Chichester Harbour. In 2020, Luke set up a second photography gallery in partnership with David Mark in Frankfurt, Germany. In 2021 & 2022 his gallery was awarded Best Fine Art Photography Gallery in the SME News Southern Business Awards. In 2022, Luke's gallery was awarded Best Boutique Fine Art Gallery in the Global Business Insight Awards. Since 2022, Luke's gallery has been purely online, allowing Luke & his team to expand his business course programme and services for photographers, and work on larger corporate photogrpahy projects. In 2023, Luke set up a significant archive of precious and rare photographs on behalf of Westons Cider in Herefordshire, and ran a team that handled the digital restoration of 19th century prints to allow the company to use the images in their marketing and sales campaigns. In 2024, Luke's gallery was awarded Best Boutique Fine Art Gallery in the Global Business Insight Awards for a second time.

Luke has a lifelong passion for photography, and specialises in the marketing and sales of rare, limited edition prints and their framing.  He collects photographs himself and is drawn to prints made between 1880-1920, which is his favourite period in the history of photography, in particular photographs of Victorian fishing boats and trading schooners on Britain's south coastline, and of Cambridge. His personal interests revolve around sport, and he is heavily into cricket and rugby.
