Endeavour is one of only ten J-Class yachts. A 130 foot sloop launched in 1934, Endeavour pioneered the development of the Quadrilateral genoa. In 1984 Endeavour was a complete wreck in southern England when yachtswoman Elizabeth Meyer undertook a rebuild. Endeavour sailed again in 1989. In 2001 on the Solent between England and the Isle of Wight, the three surviving J Class yachts raced again in the America's Cup Jubilee, where this photograph was taken under her stunning star spangled spinnaker.
