Are you an introvert or an extrovert? Do you know which parts of your life give you energy and which parts take away from it? Is it interaction with people and the external world or through solo time in quiet reflection? Come to the Bosham Gallery on Tuesday 5th November to take a short questionnaire to find out. We are looking at this critical piece of self-knowledge alongside the current exhibition of Margaret Soraya’s seascapes because it is her introvert personality that has been the key to creating her 2019 collection of award-winning work.
Drawing on her own personal experience, Margaret Soraya will discuss the struggles of the introvert, and how introverts can use their unique skillsets and strengths in their lives. “When you make life choices that fit in with your temperament, you release vast stores of energy. Conversely, when you spend too much time battling your own nature, the opposite happens and you deplete yourself. At least a third of us are on the introverted side. Some of the world’s most talented people are introverts. Without them we wouldn’t have Harry Potter, Paypal, the theory of relativity or Microsoft. Learning about introversion has created opportunities that I could have only dreamed of previously. It has allowed me to create a life I love without guilt, it has inspired my professional work and driven me to create my 2019 Quiet collection exhibited in the Bosham Gallery,” Margaret says.
Drop in to the gallery on Tuesday 5th November between 10am and 4pm to take the questionnaire, to meet Margaret Soraya and to hear her discuss her 2019 Quiet exhibition during a guided tour.
