"A multilayered observation - another park, another wholly unremarkable body of water offering up the opportunity for apparition and invention. It was one of those rare occasions when the clouds suddenly and unexpectedly parted, the rain stopped and the light took on an almost magical quality. I found myself gazing at a remarkably considerate arrangement of colours reflected onto the water from the setting sun. It seemed the more I looked, the greater the spectrum became. Further investigation revealed contorted faces, discordant shapes and strange apparitions emerging as the reflections of the trees and surrounding objects took advantage of the changing light and suddenly appeared with great intensity upon the surface of the water. I became totally transfixed by what I saw and it took some time for me to notice the tiny white blossom that had also decided to join the parade."  Valda Bailey
