The climb to the top of Dun Caan on a snowy day in January was challenging but worth the view from the top. Dun Caan is the highest hill on the Isle of Raasay with endless views of sea and mountain peaks from its flat-topped summit. The sky changed from minute to minute as I watched snow showers pass through, at times completely covering all views and merging the water into sky. There is something special about watching stormy skies heading towards you and passing through. Shafts of sky tumbling in lines down into the sea.
