My fascination with waves started at a very early age. Contented summers spent by the ocean in Holland, times where I was completely at peace. My positive association with the ocean and waves was formed subconciously during my childhood. When I first began shooting landscapes 24 years ago, I used to think I had to climb mountains as that's what landscape photographers did. But I now know the only important thing to do is to follow your own unique path, and to draw upon your own experiences in life.
