Ranger is one of only ten J-Class yachts. Built by Bath Iron Works in Maine, Ranger was launched in 1937. Only the transom of the original Ranger survived the war years. In early 2002, the reconstruction of Ranger began in the Danish Yacht Boat Yard. After departing Denmark in early 2004, the new Ranger went on to sail in the Antigua Classics, where this photograph was taken. Ranger left Antigua with a second in class. Her LOA is 135 feet.
