"The Mahon Regatta held on the island of Minorca in Spain is one of the stand out events of the European season. The yachts finish the race inside the harbour directly opposite the marina. This particular picture of the 15 metre The Lady Anne was taken just after she has sailed through the line. I love the composition of the two yachts with the castle on the horizon and the way the sails catch the late afternoon sun. Marine photographers usually try and have the sails filled evenly, but in this photograph The Lady Anne is facing directly head to wind in order to lower her sails. There's a nice moment once a yacht has finished a race and I think I caught it here."
