"I have never been so grateful for a fence to be in such a state of disrepair. Had it been a straight fence then it would have been too harsh a departure to have allowed it to slam into the bottom centre of the frame. My tree entirely dictated the construction of the remainder of the image and I was thankful to the fence for bending itself away just sufficiently to allow the visitor to arrive and enter via a somewhat ramshackle invitation. The shaven field was just prevented from being too bland by a few patches of a darker colour throughout."
